Upgrading Your Hard Drive
Deciding
whether to upgrade your computer or buy a new one is a delicate decision. All
computers will reach a time where they "cross the line". The line at which it is
more cost effective to put your money toward a new system as opposed to putting
money into upgrading an old one. There are many factors which determine the
timing of an upgrade and which direction you should go.
For example, depending on
your system it could make sense to add a new hard drive in a two year old
computer because that is a component which can be moved over to your new pc once
the old one goes kaput. Some components such as the motherboard, memory and
processor are usually items that are not transferable as bus speeds and
processor architectures continue to move forward.
